The Bachelorette; From Three to Two
I'm about halfway through tonights episode. I meant to start writing at the beginning, but my internet didn't want to play nice.
So, hour 1 - good date with Kiptyn, but it felt a little manufactured at times and I'm not feeling it, if they are. Kiptyn is a hot man though, and he did the ropes course with her and she was excited about each step of the way of the course. And that part felt very genuine.
Right now it's Reid up at bat. He still can't put his feelings into words, however it seems palpable between them. I do find their kisses a little clinical though.
I'm really rooting for Ed - but all the build up with someone "letting her down" on the overnight date along with all the other build up around Ed makes me concerned that he' the batter without the bat.
Back to Reid's date with Jillian...after this commercial break aparently; although we did go into the break with a parting shot of them in the tub with candles and rose petals strewn about. Cliche, but still romantic.
Oop. We're back with Ed, not Reid. I like Ed (of course I tend to find myself attracted to guys from Chicago & Boston and he's a Chitown boy).
Ed and Jillian on a gorgeous boat - now this is the kind of date I'd love. And then he tells her that he's fulfilled the thing she is bummed about and has flown in his parents to meet her, making up (a little) for the time they missed when he left to go home.
Which reminds me - if he planned the go home and come back thing it's a pretty good plan. What better way to prove how much you want a woman than to leave your job a second time for her? Okay, I own up to a little bit of sarcasm there...
Oh, mom & Jillian really seem like they'd get along. BUT dad - dad's not happy that Ed is there or that he flew them in. Dad does seem to come around a little when Ed says he's ready to be engaged to Jillian. And mom backs that up with Jillian - separately of course.
And dad says the magic words to Jillian - Ed is a best friend. Can you hear the angels singing? AHHHHHHHHH; as they sit on the beach the fantasy suite card comes out (by the way Ed has GREAT legs), and again they chose to take up the offer. So, is Ed the disappointer? As we go to commercial we find out....
Oh my God he is.
When they come back I can kinda see why - there was a lot of pressure put on the guy all day long then he walks in and there's a bed right there - covered in rose petals, and Jillians is all over him. And he was drinking wine throughout the day (at least it looked like he was). Oh, and a little thing like a camera & camera man (if not mulitples of each) watching. Hmm, yeah, no pressure there.
Enough on that.
NOTE: from here on out I'm not going to use names because I'd hate to spoil it for someone on the West coast who won't have had a chance to watch the show before I post this...
Except Chris Harrison because Chris Harrison is back! I missed Chris Harrison last week. Is it possible to say Chris Harrison without saying the Harrison part? I don't think so.
Jillian's confused and nervous...blah, blah, blah.
Two roses, three men. I know who I think she should chose. Do you? Does Jillian? Will she make the best choice?
Wow, I didn't think she'd do it. But I agree with her choices.
